Kunal Pradhan

Kunal V. Pradhan, I am IT Professional from Mumbai. Living in Edinburgh for 10+ years. I enjoy travelling, music & food. I like engaging with local and Indian communities to promote and support Indian & Marathi culture. I had strong desire to bring the Marathi community in Edinburgh together to connect with our roots & to help people coming to Edinburgh in ways possible to make them feel like home. Being part of MMM-E, now SAMRAT,  gives a great sense of community building, taking forward our Marathi culture overseas and instilling our values in next generation by giving them the cultural experience they miss being outside India.

Sagar Pabley

Originally from Wardha (वर्धा), Maharashtra, I'm currently based in Atlanta Georgia in the United States of America with my wife Pradnya (प्रज्ञा) and a 7 year old daughter Ira (इरा).

In 2016 I was briefly in Edinburgh for work and got a chance to connect with the enthusiastic Marathi diaspora. One of the best reminiscences was the celebration of the momentous first Scottish Ganesh Festival by Marathi Mitra Mandal-Edinburgh. I was fortunate to contribute my part and offer my services to our beloved Bappa. I'm so well pleased to see that friends have taken Scottish Ganesh Festival to a new level under the SAMRAT banner and in a short time SGF has become a part of Scotland's modern cultural canvas.
